| 30-Jun-12 | Perfect birth day celebration.. It was all I dream of. I was very excited about Archit's birth day.. Wanted everything personalized and unique. First I started with invitation card..which came out as my liking. Then I decide to paint my own back drop. Initially there was lot of confusion about theme, should it be old mac donald which was quite boyish but could be time consuming or shall I paint the fairies which i drew long back. First one was boyish and second one had advantage of drawing already available but It could appear girlish. For second one i was sure result will be beautiful. Reluctantly, I started with second. Kept thinking about it, did lots of googling. Slowly it started appearing convincing, theme will be Prince and guarding angels. Spent almost two months, putting 1-2 hour every night painting it to my level of perfection. Next confusion was dress. I thought that is the most ready made thing, just need to purchase from market but then when i did not get cotton 3-piece suit. I decided to design this also. Just wanted to keep it simple which Archit can wear comfortably. So that Archit dress doesn't look cheap or sth, i designed mine and Dheeraj's dress too... Yippee, they looked so nice and unique. It actually acted as show stopper for whole party. Then, we went for return gift shopping. Initially, to decrease the cost, I thought i will do the event manager job but then after dheeraj persuasion and knowing the cost of event manager I agreed to it. Dheeraj's friend Indus offered for photography. Since, it was his hobby i was sure result will be perfect but was not sure how good he will cover the event. But he was master in the job.. I got absolutely beautiful coverage and good Archit's pictures. Last day addition which i did was Archit's photo collage and message board which again was unique concept and was much appreciated. I had them in my plan when i was looking for birthday party ideas but dropped it later on. But in last minute excitement, I designed and created them. Then balloons. Archit was so scared of balloons but all of sudden last day his fear subsided. Everything was so beautiful that day. Whole day I paid full attention to Archit so that he doesn't get cranky. I an Dheeraj went for decorating hall at 3:30 pm. After initial hiccup (my fall from stool) things moved on fine. We blew lot of balloons. Hall got decorated nicely. people appreciated it. Since, we were not at home, Archit routine went fine. He was quite happy, enjoyed whole party. Didn't cry much.. In end it was all i dreamt of. |
