Day care started

Life has all of sudden so much changed. Sometimes Archit surprised us by his newly gained skill, other time he frustrates us by his tantrums. We will be sending him to day care from Sep 1. Like any other mother I am excited as well as anxious. I know adjustment will take time. But atleast I am content that to some extent Archit can do his defense. Just waiting for him to become 1.5 year. Hopefully, he will be more manageable at that time :)

4-Sep-12

Second day of day care. Yesterday, we just went for 30 minutes. That too I was standing outside of room watching him. His first reaction was that he was clinging to door, calling mamma mamma. Then one of the aaya took him and gave him toys with which he played for few minutes. There was more chaos in the room. There were so many kids in single room. Things were not looking convincing. Then it seems some one took his toy and he again came to door calling mamma mamma, he came out, saw me and became normal. But i realized i was doing it wrong, I didn't bring his milk bottle or anything. So today, I left him in day care at 10:00pm, told him that I am coming back in 1 hour. Left his milk bottle there. When we came back after 1 hour, he was drinking milk, sitting next to laptop with his favorite song baba black sheep being played. After he finished his milk, he did his classic dance step too. It was less chaos today. Kids were divided in 3 rooms. Every one was busy in there activities and only one kid was crying. Two of kids who were crying yesterday were fine. I believe it was Monday effect. Anyways tomorrow, I will plan more better. Will give his schedule till 1:00 PM. We will try to increase his timing till 3:00 PM till 15th Sep

2-Nov-12

Archit completed one month in day care. Did he get set? I can't comment on that. For first 6 days, he used to cry whole day. On 7th day, when I went in evening he was fine; from 8th day, I found him playing in evening. He seems happy there. There is no major fight in morning for school. But problem is cold and cough. This has become almost regular feature for him. Some days back he got viral fever, thou it was not because of day care but then we could not send him for whole week. Now, it almost always he is having running nose and cough. I am trying to build his immunity. I give him mausambi juice with multivitamin added. Trying to give bc21 atleast once a day. Most importantly i have added egg to his diet. Let's see how things goes.

10-Dec-12	Wow!! Yesterday I was fully excited when I saw Archit actually knows name of his day care friends. He was playing with them. He was going after them in slides. He is learning fast. He let them touch his cycle.  Also, so many people told that they saw Archit enjoying in day care. That's the advantage of having local day care. So many people know your kid that you keep getting good feedback. So, now I can say Archit has adjusted in day care :)
7-Feb-13	Aaahh!! Life is becoming difficult.. Archit is falling sick often.. He cries, shout and throw stuff. It becomes difficult for us to control him. I feel it happens when he is not well. I have started his homeopathy. I am avoiding calls b/w 7- 10:30pm even if it means taking call late at night. I try to play as much as possible. Just hoping to channelize his anger and energy to positive side. I just need to prevent myself from losing cool.
4-Mar-13	One month passed peacefully.. Looks like homeopathy suiting him.. He is eating well.. Behaving well. Is full of energy.. Touch wood.. We have started his immunity tablet.. Just keeping my finger cross. Hope he will fall less n less sick..
